Borehole Drilling
Clean water changes everything. We're preparing to drill and maintain boreholes across Somaliland, giving communities lasting access to safe drinking water - cutting disease, easing daily life, and giving families back the hours they currently spend walking for water.
This is a planned initiative. We're currently seeking partners and funding to bring the first borehole online. Fund the First Borehole
A single borehole will change life for hundreds of families
We're building toward sustainable water solutions in rural and underserved communities - not quick fixes, but infrastructure designed to last. Each borehole we drill will serve hundreds of families, dramatically cutting the time women and children spend collecting water, and improving health across the whole community. We'll work hand-in-hand with local partners so the water keeps flowing long after installation.
What Every Community Will Receive
Water access shouldn't stop working the day we leave. Every borehole we drill will be built for the long term, not just the day the pump goes in.
A full hydrogeological survey, drilling, and solar-powered pump installation
On-site storage tanks and inclusive access points for women, elders, and children
Local water committees and caretakers trained in maintenance, governance, and repairs
Water quality testing and hygiene education for the whole community
Monitoring visits throughout the first 12 months to keep things running
Tell Us Where a Borehole Is Needed Most
No one knows a community's water needs better than the people living there.
If your community is facing water shortages and could benefit from a borehole, we want to hear from you. Submit a request below, and we'll add your area to the locations under consideration as we plan our first sites.
Help Bring Water to the Next Community
A borehole isn't just water — it's hours given back, children back in school, and families protected from disease. Your support helps us reach the next village waiting for clean water.
