Healthcare Access Initiative

Healthcare shouldn't stop at the edge of a city. We bring maternal, newborn, and child healthcare, community outreach, and emergency referral services to families in remote and underserved communities across Somaliland — so distance is never the reason someone goes without care.

Dr. Deena Tajran MCH Services

The Dr. Deena Tajran MCH Service brings maternal and child health together under one roof — from safe pregnancy and delivery, through early newborn care, to ongoing child health and nutrition.

  • Maternal Health — respectful care from early pregnancy through to safe delivery and beyond

  • Newborn Services — essential and emergency care from the moment a baby is born

  • Child Health — immunisation, growth monitoring, and treatment for common childhood illness

  • Nutrition Services — early screening and treatment for malnutrition in mothers and children

RESULTS SO FAR

A 40% reduction in maternal mortality across the communities we serve.

Community Outreach & Emergency Referral

Care doesn't stop at the clinic door.

Our outreach teams go where the need is — bringing health education, screening, and early identification directly to rural communities and displacement sites. And when a mother, newborn, or patient needs urgent, specialised care, our 24/7 ambulance and referral service gets them there safely.

  • Community Health Outreach — education, screening, and referral in hard-to-reach communities

  • Ambulance & Referral Services — 24/7 emergency transport and coordinated hospital referral
