Dr. Deena Tajran MCH Service
The Dr. Deena Tajran MCH Service brings maternal and child health together under one roof. Safe pregnancy and delivery, early newborn care, and ongoing child health and nutrition, all in one place families can rely on.
Maternal & Child Health Programs
Every mother deserves to be cared for, not just treated. From early pregnancy through the weeks after birth, we offer respectful, high-quality care at every stage — antenatal check-ups, skilled delivery support, and postnatal follow-up, alongside emergency care for complications like postpartum haemorrhage.
What this includes:
Antenatal care (ANC) and routine check-ups
Skilled delivery and safe birth services
Postnatal care (PNC) for mothers and newborns
Basic emergency obstetric care, including management of postpartum haemorrhage
Maternal nutrition counselling and supplementation
Tetanus vaccination for pregnant women
Newborn Services
The first hours of life matter most.
We make sure every baby gets safe, essential care from the moment they're born — warmth, cord care, and vitamin K to prevent bleeding disorders. For babies who need extra support, our team is ready with neonatal resuscitation, care for low birth weight, and early infection screening, so treatment can start the moment it's needed.
What this includes:
Essential newborn care at and after birth
Neonatal resuscitation for babies who don't breathe at birth
Thermal care (skin-to-skin and warming)
Clean cord care to prevent infection
Vitamin K administration
Management of low birth weight babies
Neonatal infection screening and timely treatment
"Thanks to Liby Foundation's support, I had a safe delivery and my baby is healthy. The regular check-ups gave me peace of mind."
— Amina, Mother
Child Health Services
Healthy children need more than treatment — they need consistent care.
We support growth and development from infancy onward, with routine immunisations, growth monitoring, and treatment for common childhood illnesses. Children receive fast, effective care for diarrhoea, pneumonia, and malaria, plus deworming and vitamin A support to strengthen immunity and nutrition.
What this includes:
Routine childhood immunisation (EPI)
Growth monitoring and promotion
IMCI-based assessment and treatment
Diarrhoea management with ORS and zinc
Pneumonia screening and treatment
Malaria rapid testing and treatment
Deworming and vitamin A supplementation
Nutrition Services
Malnutrition is easier to treat when it's caught early.
We screen mothers and children for undernutrition, treat what we find, and support families with the knowledge to keep it from happening again — through breastfeeding guidance, safe complementary feeding, and long-term healthy nutrition habits.
What this includes:
MUAC screening for acute malnutrition
Management of moderate acute malnutrition
Referral to specialised centres for severe acute malnutrition
Infant and young child feeding counselling for caregivers
Laboratory & Pharmacy Services
Good care depends on knowing what's wrong, and having what's needed to treat it.
Our lab provides essential diagnostic tests to guide treatment decisions, while our pharmacy makes sure mothers and children have access to the medicines that keep them healthy.
What this includes:
Basic laboratory tests (haemoglobin, urine analysis, malaria rapid diagnostic tests)
Essential drug dispensing
Iron and folic acid supplementation for pregnant women
Antibiotics for common infections
